Introduction Carol Archer is currently completing a doctoral dissertation on the topic of painting and feminist aesthetics at the University of Hong Kong. Archer teaches art history and practice (drawing and painting) as well as English as a foreign language. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and Philosophy from Sydney University in 1981 and a Master of Arts degree in Visual Arts (by research) from the University of Western Sydney in 1998. She has exhibited her work in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and Italy.
