Memories of the Festival Decorations for the National day of the PRC

Lei Tin Iok, who is locally known as "Old Tin", has dedicated his life to photography for more than half a century. At the age of 86, Lei continues to take pictures of the Macau scenery with such passion that he captures moments that become unforgettable memories of this small city. Between 1949 and 1970 many archways were founded to commemorate the National Day of the PRC. During the evening of the National Day there were remarkable celebration performances under the blazing lightings of the pailous. It gradually gained domestic authenticity. Being captured by Old Tin, these celebrations turned into precious images that reveal a sense of culture and reflect locals?patriotism towards their motherland.
